Trainings are tailored for the Caribbean and South America Regional Needs

a key for a stable and skilled workforce

Properly trained mechanics are more efficient, effective, and safe in their work environment.
Lack of Advanced Competencies in Heavy Machinery Mechanics
Damera International is committed to developing a highly skilled workforce for the Caribbean and CARICOM regions, leveraging Canadian expertise to elevate the training of mechanics for bus and truck maintenance.

Specialized Training Program to Bridge the Skills Gap
Damera International, in partnership with Damera Group of Companies, offers an intensive hands-on training program tailored to prepare trainees for heavy machinery mechanics.
Through this program, students learn to work with the latest OEM diagnostic tools and repair procedures, gaining comprehensive skills in areas like engine rebuilding, transmission repair, and HVAC diagnostics.
Students will develop crucial administrative skills, such as job tracking and time management, to enhance their efficiency and accountability.
Over a six-month on-site training period, trainees will acquire the expertise needed to confidently diagnose and repair a wide range of issues they may encounter in the field, ensuring they are fully qualified to support transit operations in the Caribbean region.

The training program elevates mechanics' skills to a new level, offering formal instruction that strengthens their expertise. Damera sees this as essential to ensuring that transit agencies, along with other public and private organizations, have access to a reliable and highly skilled workforce.
Damera’s mechanics are in a constant state of training to keep them abreast of new technologies and methods for performing their profession.
Workforce Development Through Government-Backed Training Initiatives
Government involvement is essential in supporting this partnership to develop a skilled workforce for transit and public infrastructure. By formalizing the program, governments help ensure that the training aligns with national workforce and economic goals. This collaboration provides meaningful benefits: it creates employment opportunities, drives economic growth, and builds capacity across both individual countries and the broader Caribbean and South American regions.

By developing local talent, the program strengthens the economic foundation of each participating country and enhances the reliability of public transit systems, which are crucial for social and economic mobility. To successfully fulfill this mandate, collaboration among governments, educational institutions, and private sector partners is essential, as each entity brings unique resources and expertise that contribute to the program’s long-term focus and success.
Damera International is eager to establish these essential connections with government, academic institutions, and private sector partners to support transit agencies across the Caribbean and South America.
By fostering collaborative training initiatives, we aim to build a skilled workforce that meets the specific needs of regional transit systems, driving economic growth and enhancing public transportation reliability.
